FileCloud Desktop for macOS Release 23.253.0

To apply this update, please update FileCloud Desktop for macOS using the link at the Client Downloads page on the FileCloud website.

Release enhancements and fixes:

  • Self service white labeling is now available for FileCloud Desktop for macOS. Previously, only customers with Enterprise Advanced licenses could customize FileCloud, applying brand logos and names to system components. Now, other customers can take advantage of a lighter self-service white labelling feature, which enables them to apply their own company name, product name, upgrade URL, and support URL to FileCloud Desktop through configuration of a simple JSON file.

  • Users are now alerted that file conflicts are present through the taskbar tray and the Activity tab of the dashboard. Through these features, users can open the file conflict location, view more information about the conflict, and dismiss the conflict.

  • Documents shared securely can now be viewed through the WebDRM viewer.

  • When a user attempted to open a non-cached PDF through Adobe Reader, it did not load and did not show an error message. This has been fixed.

  • An issue causing FileCloud Desktop for macOS to crash on macOS Tahoe has been fixed.

  • The autolock feature was not working on macOS Tahoe. This has been fixed.

  • FileCloud Desktop for macOS now updates automatically, even when users are not logged in.

  • A vulnerability in the Vue i18n package has been fixed.

  • FileCloud Desktop for macOS was not automatically locking Office files when they were opened. This has been fixed.

  • When the Push service is down, users are now notified in the FileCloud Desktop for macOS dashboard.

  • Conflict file naming has been improved so it does not exceed the 255 characters allowed by the server.

  • FileCloud Desktop did not display a message on the dashboard when the connection to the server was down. This has been fixed; a message is now displayed.

  • When a lock attempt failed on FileCloud Desktop because the file was already locked by another user, a popup indicated that the file was successfully locked. This has been fixed.

  • Strings that were missing in translations have been added.

  • When users attempted to create a share, a blank window opened, and the share could not be created. This has been fixed.

  • A problem causing SSO login to fail has been fixed.

  • FileCloud Desktop was not starting on login. The dashboard could only be opened from the tray icon. This has been fixed.
