Minor FileCloud Desktop for macOS Release 23.253.3

July 13, 2026

To apply this update, please update FileCloud Desktop for macOS using the link at the Client Downloads page on the FileCloud website.

Release enhancements:

  • Conflict information is now shown each time the user launches the app until the user resolves or dismisses the conflict or logs out.

  • Now, when conflicts are detected, a pop-up notification on the screen informs users of the conflicts and directs them to the Activity tab.

  • There is now an option to change the user interface language from the log in wizard.

  • FileCloud Desktop for macOS now supports the primary and secondary method of multi-factor authentication methods introduced into FileCloud in 23.261.

  • In previous builds, users were able to delete files locally until delete permission was checked with the server, and if it was not permitted, the deleted files were restored locally. Now, FileCloud Desktop has information about delete permissions, and delete is correctly allowed or denied locally at the time of the delete action.

  • Electron has been updated to the latest version.

  • The error message shown when there is an issue uploading a file with a long path has been enhanced to “Upload failed. The folder path is too long (maximum 260 characters). Please shorten the names of your folders or move the file to a higher-level directory and try again.”

Release bug fixes:

  • Instead of creating a conflict file when a file was simultaneously updated on the server and FCD for macOS, the FCD for macOS version was overwritten with the server version. This has been fixed.

  • If the FileCloud Server version is 23.261 or greater, in macOS finder, a lock icon appears beside locked files.

  • If a user entered an incorrect MFA code on login, the error message shown was incorrect. This has been fixed.
