Identify Company Devices in FileCloud Desktop for Windows Logins

If your organization uses Windows Integrated Authentication (WIA), you may add a setting that enables you to determine if logins are from company-managed devices or from employees’ personal devices.

To identify devices that are part of your company’s domain with the user agent Cloud Storage Client (WIA), add the following registry key and set its value to 1:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\FileCloud\FileCloudDesktop\DefaultCfg\alternateuseragentenabled

This setting can be deployed using a device management tool (like an MDM system).

Once this is set, company-managed devices identify themselves with the user agent Cloud Storage Client (WIA) when they connect to FileCloud.
