Minor FileCloud for Outlook Release 23.263.0.28

September 2, 2026

If you are logging into Outlook using SSO through Google Chrome, you must disable Local Network Access Checks.
To disable Local Network Access Checks in Chrome:

  1. Enter the web address:
    chrome://flags/#local-network-access-check

  2. Change the setting for Local Network Access Checks to Disabled.

  3. Restart Google Chrome.

Release enhancements:

  • Users can now modify permissions in shares added to an email. See FileCloud for Outlook Add-In for more information.
To use this feature, contact FileCloud Support to request a patch for FileCloud version 23.262.1. Alternatively, this functionality will be included in FileCloud version 23.263, expected to be released by the end of September 2026.

  • The FileCloud for Outlook version and build are now shown in the Settings window.

  • If Outlook is using an on-premise Exchange server, FileCloud for Outlook hides features that do not function and includes a message notifying users that the hidden feature is not supported.

  • The latest version of the SSO Auth Agent can be set to automatically launch on startup. To make the new setting available, reinstall the Auth Agent following the instructions at Install and Run the SSO Auth Agent. To enable launching on startup, right-click the Auth Agent icon in the Windows system tray or the macOS menu bar, and click Launch on startup so that a check appears in front of it.
Note: It is recommended that you uninstall the current Auth Agent before installing the new one.

Release bug fixes

  • When multiple files were uploaded using Upload & Share, instead of having separate share links in the email they had the same share link. This has been fixed.

  • Upload & Share shared the entire My Files folder. This has been fixed.

  • When an email attachment list was opened in FileCloud for Outlook and the user selected an attachment to edit, nothing happened. This has been fixed.

  • FileCloud for Outlook did not reflect language changes in Outlook. This has been fixed.

  • Each time it was opened, FileCloud for Outlook only allowed users to add or remove one of multiple attachments in an email. This has been fixed so multiple attachments in an email can be added or removed each time FileCloud for Outlook is opened.

  • The file operations toast appeared at the center of the application instead of at the bottom. This has been fixed.

  • Attaching more than one file at the same time to an email using Attach as a file returned an error message and attached the files as links. This has been fixed.
